Sermoon D3
Dual Nozzle. Full Enclosure. Soluble Supports.
Two direct drive extruders, a fully enclosed HEPA-filtered chamber, 300×250×300mm build volume, and 300°C hotends — the Sermoon D3 is built for engineers, product designers, and makers who need dual-material printing with soluble supports in a clean-air indoor environment.
Everything You Need. Nothing You Don't.
The key features that make the Sermoon D3 stand out in its class.
Dual Direct Drive Nozzle System
Two independent direct drive extruders give the Sermoon D3 a capability no single-nozzle machine can replicate: true dual-material extrusion. Deposit your primary material from nozzle one, soluble support from nozzle two — and after printing, dissolve the supports in water or limonene, leaving perfectly clean, support-free surfaces on complex overhangs, internal channels, and undercut geometries. The direct drive configuration on both nozzles also handles flexible TPU reliably on each extruder independently.
Fully Enclosed Chamber — ABS & ASA Without Warping
ABS and ASA shrink 0.5–0.8% as they cool. On open-frame machines, uneven ambient temperature causes differential shrinkage, producing internal stresses that warp and delaminate large parts. The Sermoon D3's sealed enclosure traps heat from the bed and hotends, building a stable 35–50°C ambient environment that eliminates differential cooling entirely. Large ABS parts print flat and dimensionally accurate — reliably, not occasionally.
HEPA + Activated Carbon Filtration
ABS and ASA printing produce VOCs and ultrafine particles. The Sermoon D3's built-in HEPA + activated carbon filtration continuously scrubs the chamber air, capturing fine particles and adsorbing chemical emissions. The machine can run ABS prints in occupied office spaces, design studios, and home workspaces without the air quality concerns that make open ABS printing inappropriate in shared environments.
300°C Hotend on Both Nozzles
Both nozzles reach 300°C, covering PLA, ABS, ASA, PETG, TPU, HIPS, and PVA without hotend upgrade. The 300°C ceiling opens the full spectrum of soluble support materials — PVA (water-soluble, optimal for complex overhangs) and HIPS (limonene-soluble, stronger than PVA, better for larger support volumes) both process reliably at Sermoon D3 hotend temperatures.
300×250×300mm Build Volume
The Sermoon D3's 300×250×300mm build platform is sized for meaningful engineering production: mechanical assemblies, enclosures, brackets, prosthetics, and full-scale prototype components. At 300mm Z height, tall single-piece parts that would require splitting on smaller machines print without seams. The 300mm X combined with the 250mm Y accommodates wide flat panels and large footprint assemblies.
Soluble Support Workflow
The Sermoon D3's killer application for engineering and design work. Print a complex geometry in ABS with PVA supports from nozzle two. After printing, submerge in warm water (40–50°C). PVA dissolves in 2–4 hours, leaving smooth, support-free surfaces where manual support removal would leave post-processing marks, witness lines, and surface defects. The quality of internal support contact surfaces on dissolved prints is dramatically higher than any mechanical support removal process.
Purge Tower & Dual Extrusion Slicer Support
Dual extrusion printing requires a purge tower — a disposable block at the side of the build plate where each nozzle purges briefly before and after each material switch, preventing cross-contamination. The Sermoon D3 is compatible with Creality Print, Cura, and Simplify3D dual-extrusion profiles that automatically generate the purge tower. Initial calibration for nozzle offset (XY alignment and Z height matching) takes 30–45 minutes and is managed through the on-screen wizard.
Ethernet + USB Connectivity
The Sermoon D3 connects via USB drive, USB-A direct, or Ethernet — allowing networked print management for studio environments where multiple users share one production machine. Ethernet connectivity is a professional-grade feature absent from most consumer FDM printers and particularly useful in design studio and small batch production contexts.

Common Questions
Soluble support printing uses a second material — typically PVA (water-soluble) or HIPS (limonene-soluble) — as support structures for overhangs and internal geometries. After printing, the support material is dissolved in the appropriate solvent, leaving perfectly clean surfaces with no manual removal marks. The Sermoon D3's dual direct drive system deposits soluble supports from nozzle two automatically, guided by slicer-generated support geometry.
