Ender-5 S1
Cube-Frame Stability. High-Speed Confidence.
The Ender-5 S1 pairs a fixed-bed cube-frame architecture with Creality's Sprite direct drive extruder and 250mm/s speeds — delivering exceptional dimensional accuracy for tall, precision-critical prints.
Everything You Need. Nothing You Don't.
The key features that make the Ender-5 S1 stand out in its class.
Fixed-Bed Cube Frame Architecture
Unlike bed-slinger printers where the print surface moves back and forth (introducing vibration and mass-induced errors), the Ender-5 S1's bed moves only on the Z-axis while the gantry handles X and Y. This dramatically reduces ringing artifacts on tall, narrow prints and improves dimensional consistency from base to apex.
Sprite Direct Drive Extruder
The Sprite extruder places the motor above the hotend, reducing the filament path length to near-zero. This enables reliable printing of flexible TPU filaments and provides tighter retraction control — resulting in cleaner bridging and minimal stringing at the speeds the S1 operates.
300°C High-Temp Hotend
The 300°C hotend expands material range beyond the standard Ender-3 lineup. PETG, ABS, ASA, and engineering blends are all accessible. The fixed-bed design significantly helps ABS warping resistance compared to a bed-slinger at equivalent temperatures.
CR Touch Auto Bed Leveling
Automatic CR Touch mesh compensation maps the print surface before every job. The cube-frame design helps maintain consistent bed geometry between prints, making the leveling mesh highly repeatable across sessions.
280mm Extended Z Height
The Ender-5 S1 offers 280mm of Z height — 30mm more than the standard Ender-3 V3 SE. This extra vertical travel accommodates taller models like full-size figurine busts, cosplay components, and architectural scale models that standard Ender-3 printers force you to section.
Dual Z Motors for Gantry Level
Independent dual Z stepper motors maintain precise gantry leveling throughout the full Z range. Combined with the cube-frame rigidity, this ensures the print head remains perfectly perpendicular to the bed from the first layer to the final 280mm of travel.
Filament Runout & Power Recovery
Runout detection and power-loss recovery are standard on the S1 — important given the longer print times that taller objects demand. No need to babysit multi-hour jobs.
Best Choice for Tall Objects
The Ender-5 S1's fixed-bed architecture makes it the most dimensionally accurate option in the Ender series for prints that are tall relative to their footprint. If your use case involves busts, figurines, architectural models, or functional enclosures that need vertical precision, the S1 is the right tool.

Common Questions
The cube-frame design means the print bed only moves vertically (Z), while the Ender-3's bed moves back and forth on Y. For tall, narrow prints, this eliminates the momentum-induced ringing that becomes increasingly visible as objects get taller. The result is cleaner layer lines and better dimensional accuracy throughout the full 280mm height.
