Print What Others Simply Cannot Fit.

A 450×450×470mm all-metal frame machine built for professionals with a genuine large-format production need — the CR-M4 prints objects that no standard desktop FDM machine can produce in a single piece.

Why the CR-M4

Everything You Need. Nothing You Don't.

The key features that make the CR-M4 stand out in its class.

450×450×470mm Build Volume

The CR-M4's build platform has approximately 4× the XY area of a standard 220mm desktop FDM machine. Single-piece cosplay helmets, full armour panels, large architectural models, and engineering prototypes that would require splitting and assembly on any other desktop machine can be printed in one continuous run.

All-Metal Rigid Frame

At 450mm scale, frame rigidity is critical to print quality. The CR-M4's all-metal construction resists the flex and vibration that causes Z-banding and layer misalignment on tall prints in budget large-format designs — maintaining dimensional accuracy across the full 470mm build height.

Dual Extruder Ready

The CR-M4 supports a dual extruder upgrade for PVA or HIPS soluble support printing at large scale. Dissolving supports from a 450mm print in water or limonene eliminates the labour-intensive manual support removal that would otherwise be required on complex large-format geometry.

Filament Runout Sensor

Large-format prints routinely run 12–40+ hours. The filament runout sensor pauses the print immediately when the spool empties and alerts the user for a filament swap — preventing the catastrophic wasted time and material of a failed long-duration print.

300°C Hotend & 110°C Bed

The 300°C hotend supports PLA, PLA+, PETG, ABS, ASA, TPU, and nylon on large-format geometry. The 110°C heated bed enables reliable ABS and engineering material adhesion across the full 450mm surface, with sufficient thermal headroom for demanding materials.

Modifiable Open Frame

The CR-M4's open cartesian frame gives direct access to all components for maintenance and modification. The large and active Creality CR community provides tested profiles, upgrade guides, and firmware configurations for the CR-M4 platform.

Input Shaping Support

The CR-M4's control system supports input shaping calibration to minimise ringing artifacts at working speeds. For large flat-panel prints and architectural surface work, surface quality tuning is important — the CR-M4's control system provides the tools to achieve clean results.

High-Capacity Print Sessions

For users with recurring large-format production needs, the CR-M4 enables batch production at scale — filling the 450×450mm platform with multiple standard-sized parts per run, delivering 4× the parts per plate vs a standard 220mm machine.

Common Questions

The CR-M4 has a 450×450×470mm build volume — one of the largest available on any desktop FDM machine. The XY platform has approximately 4× the area of a standard 220×220mm machine, enabling single-piece prints of objects like full cosplay helmets, large architectural models, and big engineering prototypes.
